How Do I Make My Facebook Photos Private. Any picture that you're tagged in "belongs" to somebody else. Unless it's a picture of you that you tagged yourself in.,
If it's an image of you that you took and tagged yourself in, you "own" the image, and are for that reason in charge of its personal privacy settings. You can choose "Only Me" from the drown down menu on the image, thus:
Photos that others have tagged you in will stay public, even if you get rid of the tag from that photo Whoever submitted the image that your tagged in "owns" that picture.
To eliminate a tag, click the drop down arrow at the top of the post/ image and click "Eliminate Tag":

You can also change your timeline privacy settings. These are mine:
Go to settings from the fall menu:.
Then choose "Timeline and Tagging".
You'll be able to control exactly what can be published on your timeline, and if you see someone has tagged an image of you, you can get rid of the tag and opt to hide it from your timeline.
Facebook will signal you to anyone who's tagged you in anything on your actual timeline, at the bottom right of your cover photo.
In summary, only your own content can be made personal. Anything you've been tagged in by others will be public - however you have the alternative to hide this material from your timeline.
