How To Offline Facebook - As much as we all enjoy chatting with friends on Facebook, it can get discouraging when your internet browsing is constantly disrupted by chat notices and brand-new windows opening. One way to prevent this situation is to set your Facebook chat status to offline. This setting will make it appear that you are currently not available, allowing you to search in peace.
Log in to Facebook and click on Chat.
Next, click Options > Go Offline to set your chat status as "offline".
You can reset your online status by just clicking Chat (Offline) to reveal your good friends list:.
This setting is not well advertised in the app and might have gone unnoticed by numerous users. Open the Facebook Messenger app and pick your address book. Tap on the Active tab and after that toggle the switch showed beside your username to the Off position:.
Now that you have effectively handicapped Facebook Chat your mobile, you will not appear in the Active tab of your buddies.
