So you got married, and now your name on Facebook does not relate to your new name. This post will go over How To Change A Name On Facebook, and still have the ability to have people look for you under your former first name.

1. Visit the Facebook website in your web browser. Log in with your username and password, if you have not saved the information for later usage.
2. Click the button marked "Account" in the top-right corner of your Facebook screen, and click the "Account Settings" button from the drop-down list.
3. Click the "Edit" link to the right of the row marked "Name" which shows your previous (now first) name.
4. Modification your name in the "last" name box, to read your brand-new "married" name.
5. Type your complete maiden (very first and last) name into the "Alternate name" box. The next line identified "Alternate name" is for your maiden name.For example, if your maiden name is Christina Lee and your married name is Christina Smith, do not type Christina Lee-Smith. Simply type "Christina Lee" in this "Alternate name" box.
6. Click the "Conserve changes" button.
7. Type your current Facebook password in the "Password" box listed below these entries.
8. Click "Conserve modifications" one more time. It's all done and now individuals can discover you either by your maiden name or your married name.
